My Tuesday Excitement!

A little note first: I actually wrote this post a few weeks back on the 21st of October. Yes, I know, very late. Between the time it takes to load pictures, a genuinely busy stretch, and my computer deciding to hang on me every single time I tried to get this up, here we finally are.

The highlight of my week was, without question, Tuesday.

We had a shoot arranged for a Lotus car, complete with a model, and the best part was that Tuck and I got to do the art direction again. Which means we were the ones telling the model how to pose and what to do. How exciting is that? It was genuinely thrilling for me, and even better this time around because we had a female model. The last shoot had a male model, which was fine, though the most memorable part of that one was honestly getting to shop for the wardrobe, for free, pulling pieces from boutiques that were kind enough to sponsor the clothes.

This time the shoot was held at the Proton showroom, and the model brought her own outfits.

Now, I had assumed she was a seasoned professional. My dad certainly thought so. But things did not quite go that way. She showed up in this greenish-yellowish dress that just did not work at all, especially against the colour of the car. I had even emailed her a photo of the Lotus beforehand so she could plan accordingly, and yet somehow the coordination was completely off. When I brought it up, she had a string of excuses ready, and I was very much thinking what I will not type out here.

But thank God for quick thinking. I had brought along a black dress from my own wardrobe just in case, and it saved the day.

All in all it was a good experience, a reminder that you meet all kinds in this industry, and most importantly, I had fun. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking now.
