Grand and Toy rebranding / "Googe"

This rebrand happened a while ago, but I thought it was still worth posting about. Grand and Toy moved away from their more “unique” wordmark and went with something much simpler. They also introduced an icon, which in my opinion could have been done better.

What doesn’t quite sit right with me is that it doesn’t really communicate “office supplies". It feels a little disconnected from what they actually do. What do you think?

Oh, and by the way, here’s another recent little boo boo.

You probably know how Google does those custom logos during holidays. This time they created one for Valentine’s Day… but somehow forgot to include the “L”.

Yes. Google. Forgot the “L”.

LOL.

What a moment. I don’t think they even caught the mistake.
And well,
Valentine’s Day has already passed anyway.
