Look out point

Yesterday was smashing.

We had dinner at Lookout Point, with that full night view of KL stretched out in front of us. But before that, we all gathered at Sandra’s place and played Taboo. I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard. Proper, uncontrollable laughter.

I think part of it is because I’ve been stuck with this very clingy friend lately… Work.

It just doesn’t leave me alone.

And it’s not that I’ve lost my passion for design. That part is still very much alive. But the environment, the constant pressure, the surroundings… it can slowly drain you. Some days I show up out of sheer obedience and honour, not because I feel alive doing it.

But okay, let’s not go there.

Back to the good stuff.

I genuinely had such a great time last night. And it reminded me of something quite simple. You can meet people for the first time and still have an amazing time together. As long as you’re willing to open up, to drop the guard a little, to just be yourself and enjoy the moment.

Standing up there, overlooking the entire KL skyline, I had this quiet wish in my heart. I didn’t want the night to end.

But of course, it did.

All good things do.

And maybe that’s what makes them so precious. The fact that they pass, but leave something behind. Memories that you carry with you. Moments you can return to, even long after they’re gone.

Nothing quite beats that.

Now I find myself wondering… when will the next night like that come again.
