Another 'shopping' experience

Have you ever gone shopping and come across something that felt just… perfect?

The kind you instantly fall in love with. The kind you wish you could bring home right there and then.

And then you find out… it’s not for sale.

So you walk away, a little disappointed, but you tell yourself it’s okay. Maybe there will be something else. Something similar. Maybe even something better.

And from then on, every time you go shopping, you find yourself looking for something like it. Hoping to feel that same spark again. You might even come across something close. Almost there. But somehow, it’s still not quite the same.

And that first piece… still not for sale.

So what do you do?

You wait. You hope. You hold on to the thought that maybe one day, it will finally be available. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll be the one who gets it.

Usually, when I see something I like but can’t afford, I tell myself this. If it’s still there when I’m ready, then it’s meant to be mine. If not, then something better will come along.

But this… feels different.

Because sometimes, you just know.

You know that what you saw is one of a kind. Not something that can be replaced. Not something you can simply find again in another form.

And after all the searching… you realise you still want that one.

I guess the truth is, it’s not easy to convince your heart to settle for something that feels like a substitute. You can try, but deep down, you know it’s not the same.

So you wait.

And you hope that one day, you’ll be given the chance to hold what your heart first chose.
