Random sweet day dreams...
He bade me slowly ripen to my prime,
And from my boughs within the promised fruit.
Till storm and sun gave vigor to the root.
BAYARD TAYLOR
As we step into certain seasons in life, we begin to think not just about our own journey but about sharing life with someone else.
Have you ever wondered how you might meet that special someone?
I think it’s only natural that we do. Especially us girls. We imagine a little and dream a little. Wondering when our “prince charming” might show up, how the moment will unfold, and what the story will look like from that very first meeting. I do that too sometimes. Wondering how my story will be written.
I love listening to couples share how they met.
“I knew the first time I saw her…”
“I’ve known him for years, then one day…”
“At first we didn’t even like each other, it seemed impossible… and then somehow…”
Talk to a hundred happily married couples, and you’ll hear a hundred different stories. I truly believe God designs relationships the way He creates snowflakes. No two are ever the same.
Some people meet and just know. Everything falls into place so naturally. Others take time, starting as friends, never expecting it to become something more. Some have to journey through distance, differences, or challenges before they finally find their way to each other.
So many different stories. And yet, each one so beautifully written when God brings two people together.
I believe God knows exactly who is right for each of us. Not just as a partner, but as a lifelong companion. His ways are often beyond what we can see, but always filled with grace. Before it happens, we have no idea what kind of moment He is preparing for us. But when the timing, the circumstances, and our own hearts are ready, He does what seems impossible. He ignites something.
And then, He leaves it to us to nurture it.
I’m waiting for that moment too.
God is full of surprises, and I trust that even now, He is working behind the scenes, shaping my story in ways I cannot yet see.
I’ve had friends come to me with questions. Wondering why it hasn’t happened yet. Feeling anxious. Asking when their time will come. These are people very dear to me, and I understand that feeling. I’ve been there too.
So here are my two cents.
Many times, it’s not that something is wrong with you. It’s simply that it’s not the right time yet. Your destiny is not tied to those who walk away from you.
Sometimes, when we stop trying to force things, God steps in and moves things in His own way.
In the meantime, prepare yourself. Don’t settle for just being “good enough". Grow. Become the best version of who you are meant to be. So that when that person comes into your life, you are ready to love well and to be a blessing.
For now, let your dreams rest in God’s hands. Trust that He is taking care of them.
Honestly, He cares about our love life even more than we do.
And until then… we still have each other.
So let’s enjoy this season. Because one day, someone might come along and steal a little bit of that attention away.
Just a little. ;)
Love you guys lots. Hugs.

So much are the joys of singlehood, the freedom, the space to grow and the avenue to slowly accommodate the criterion of a destiny that we all look forward to. I guess the cue for love would come when we have enough room for it.
Spotted this on a friend's blog. Brooke Fraser sang this...
In the autumn on the ground, between the traffic and the traffic and the ordinary sounds
I am thinking signs and seasons while a north wind blows through
i watch as lovers pass me by
Walking stories - whos and hows and whys
Musing lazily on love
Pondering you
I'll give it time, give it space and be still for a spell
When it's time to walk that way we wana walk it well
I'll be waiting for you baby
I'll be holding back the darkest night
Love is waiting til we're ready, til it's right
Love is waiting
It's my caution not the cold
there's no other hand that i would rather hold
the climate changes, im singing for the strangers about you
dont keep time, slow the pace
Honey hold on if you can
the bets are getting surer now that you're my man
I could right a million songs about the way you say my name
I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again
and like I can't force the sun to rise or hasten summer's start,
neither should I rush my way into your heart
Amen brother! I'm working towards that! :)
And thanks...the lyrics are awesome..
